this wall hanging is the result of a long design process that started with two ideas – to combine smaller ceramic elements to make a large piece and to combine ceramic and wood.

the Pinwheel is made of white, matte glazed ceramic tiles and Dakota Burl wood (which is made completely of sunflower seed husks!) It measures 24" diameter--in other words, it’s quite large. It comes with a sturdy picture wire on the back, but it weighs about 25 pounds so needs a good anchor too.

right now, they are available in natural or green – the wood part is finished with either water based paint or clear coat. We’re happy to do custom colors – call or email to talk about it.
